We made it to the zoo. We had a great time seeing all the new little baby animals. It took us days to finally get up there. The weather is so unpredictable but when we got there it was a beautiful day. So glad we went. Christian was pretty cute in the snake exhibit he was taunting the snake saying "come get me snake" That kid is so cute.

On presidents day I took my girls skiing. They love it. We had a great time frozen hair and all!
the reason I don't blog very often is I can't figure most of this out on my own. That is why the pictures are out of order. But you get the idea. :)

For Labor day my dad, my brother Robert and his family came out to visit and to see my sisters twins. She blessed the babies on Sunday and it was fun to catch up with everyone. My dad is super handy and he fixed my table!! Thanks dad

We went boating at Utah lake. So much fun to hang out with everybody.
This is how our trip to the sand dunes ended. Tommy threw a rock and hit Chris in the head. So off to insta care we go. A little glue and we were all better.

In August we went to Jackson Hole. We went on a river raft trip, hike around Jenny's Lake and had a great time walking around Jackson. We went with all the Olsen cousins. It was fun to see everybody

Bear Lake

In July we had a family reunion in Bear Lake. It was so much fun. We got to see all of Torey cousins that we don't get to see very often. We went boating and the boys just loved to play in the sand. Torey's cousin brought his Hobie and the girls loved to play on that. Of course they all loved going on the boat.

I always seem to mess up the order of pictures.. but this is the 4th of July. We went to Sandy city and watched the parade and the fireworks. We had a great time with our cousins.

This is the last week of classes for Torey! YEAH!! We have waited a long time for this. He now has his MBA. We are so Proud of him. Way to go honey. It has been a hard two years but I am glad they are over. We are excited to have you back as part of our family!!!

Wasatch Back!!

Run. Drive. Sleep? Repeat. I did it!! It was such an amazing experience. I would love to do it again. We ran from Logan to Park City covering 188 miles. 12 team members and 2 vans. We had a great group of people. We started at 8:00 Friday morning and ran for 31 hours. At the end they gave me a medal!! I am so excited about that. And a sticker to put on the back of my van, which I got on there pretty quick. You know I have been thinking lately that there are just not enough places to wear your medal. I worked hard for that. I think I am addicted to running now. I just put my check in the mail to run the Prove canyon 1/2 marathon in August!! Yeah!

Since Torey is away in Brazil for 10 days, my mom and I decided that we needed to get away also. So we packed up the van and kids and headed for warmer weather. We landed in St George where we were able to just relax and sit by the pool. It was wonderful. We got a little shopping done and did a little sight seeing. (Wouldn't you know it that I didn't take a single picture to post. Torey has the camera with him.) The kids had a great time swimming everyday. And I had a great time not cleaning the house. Then I don't know what happened but the car ride was was extra long. The kids starting getting really excited to be out of the car and they were driving me nuts. This continued even after we got home until they were all in bed last night. Then started up again this morning ( it is the first day back on track) So needless to say I am very excited to have all the kids in school and to just be chillin at home with Christian. I can finally catch my breath.

Ski Bunnies

This year since she is in 5th grade, Lizzie got a ski passport. So we decided to let her try skiing. She is an amazing skier. She has gone twice with her Uncle Dagen at the Canyons. Then after much begging on Lauryn part, Torey and I took Lizzie and Lauryn skiing on Saturday. This was Lauryn's 1st time skiing and Lizzie's 3rd. Kids are amazing. I am so surprised at how well they ski. I guess maybe I am more amazed at how poorly I ski but my kids now ski as well as me. Maybe better :) We had a great time. It was a beautiful day the sun was out and the snow was great. I can't wait to go again!

San Antonio

This last week Torey had to go to San Antonio for a conference and I got to tag along. We had a great time. We stayed at the Marriott Riverwalk. We went and saw the Alamo and walked the Riverwalk a lot. We went on a little boat tour of the Riverwalk and learned a little history about the area. It was a nice little get away. We are so grateful for our wonderful family that took care of our little kiddos while we were away. Thanks.

Cooper Graduates

We have had Cooper in puppy school for the last eight weeks and yesterday he graduated! What a good dog. To graduate from puppy school you have to sit, stay and down, stay. Cooper passed with flying colors. He has been so much fun. He loves to chase Christian and bite at his ears Christian just laughs. It is so fun to watch them play. Congratulations Cooper!

Happy New Year!!!

I can hardly believe that it is 2009! For New Years we did our annual party downtown at the Marriott with Torey's side of the family. It was fun to ring in the new year with all the cousins. We played guitar hero and bingo and we had a great time just being together. The kids loved to go swimming in the hotel pool and then on New years day we went and saw Bedtime Stories. We had a great time.

For Christmas this year we got a new puppy. We have named him Cooper and he has been so much fun. The kids had no idea that we were going to do this. I think it made Christmas extra special this year. I had a hard time sleeping I was so excited about it. He is a little black and white shih tzu. I hope I survive this decision. The kids go back to school and Torey goes back to work tomorrow. Reality will set in!! I am tring to add a another picture but it might have to be in another post.....

Well it is that time of year again. Everybody else seems to be closer to being ready for Christmas then I am. I went to the store this weekend and couldn't find anything that I can't live without. I seriously have so much stuff that I need to get rid of that I can't see bring anything new into my house. Do you think I could just wrap some old toys from the basement? I don't think my kids would even know....well maybe they would. They are smarter then I think. I am thankful that Torey helps me out as much as he does this time of year or Christmas would be pretty sad around here.

We had a great Thanksgiving. It started off with a awesome 5k in Draper. My bro and sis ran with me. It was raining, cold and early but we did it! It was way fun.
Then we went and ate turkey with my family. It was great to see everybody. My kids love the money scramble that we do every year. They came out with some serious money. Thanks to the contributors you guys are awesome. I am so grateful for my wonderful family and for the free country that we live in. We are truly blessed.

Ok sorry that the pictures are in the wrong order. But I don't know how to fix that. I hope everyone had plenty to eat and more to be grateful for. Happy Thanksgiving.

Tommy has a best friend named Lukas. Last week Tommy came and told me that Lukas got a new car... a red convertible. Tommy was so excited. They are good at taking turns driving. They have a helmet that the driver has to wear so they get out of the car and switch drivers and the helmet. It is so cute to watch them play together.

Birthday fun!

Well it is official. Elizabeth is 11. She had a slumber party for her birthday . I don't think they got much sleeping done. The last time I told them to setting down and go to sleep it was 4:00am and I know they were up till at least 5:00am. Sorry to all the mom's who had grumpy girls the next day. But they had blast !

Lizzie got a i pod for her birthday. The one she had before didn't work to well after it went through the washing machine. Now we won't say who washed it, but whoever it was felt guilty enough to replace it. Happy Birthday sweetheart.

Christian and his friend Mitchell. They had so much fun together this summer riding bikes and running back and forth. They would just sit in the back of the ranger for hours. They would put on their seat belts and everything.

Exciting Saturday

Yesterday was quite an exciting day. I was outside watching Tommy riding his bike and I noticed that he doesn't use the training wheels. Lauryn has been playing with his bike and so the training wheels were all bent up. He would ride and the training wheels wouldn't touch the ground. So about 10 min before I had to leave to go to the woman's conference I asked Torey to take off the training wheels..he did and then Tommy just got back on his bike and away he went. Like nothing had changed. I couldn't believe it. My girls needed more encouragement when they were learning how to ride a two wheeler. I would love to post a picture of it but I can't find my camera at the moment. But way to go Tommy!!
Next I went to down to the conference center to see the Woman's conference last night, and due to car trouble we ended up staying downtown to get some dinner after the meeting. We went to the Garden, on the top of the Joseph Smith building, and we saw Russell M Nelson. I got a picture of the back of him but it is on my cell phone. I will see if I can get Torey to transfer it. It was pretty exciting. I had a lot of fun hanging out with girls last night. Good times.
I am also very exited that my RS lesson is over with. And I don't have to teach RS in October. So I have two months to prepare for Novembers lesson.

Dew Tour 2008!

Torey took Lauryn to the Dew Tour yesterday and Thursday. They had a Blast! She won a Ogio backpack and she got a new skate deck so she could get signatures. She got signatures from Koit, Bucky Lasek, Bob Burnquist, Steve McCann, and Greg Lutzka. She also got to drive a dirt bike. How cool is she!!

My baby is 2!

Yesterday my baby Christian turned 2. I can hardly believe it. Time goes so fast. He is a lot of fun. He loved going swimming this summer. Lauryn taught him how to lay out on the warm cement to warm up after swimming. He has the sweetest laugh and smile. He makes our family complete. Here he is sitting on Lizzie's lab with his cousins Grant and Lindsay. He was so cute blowing out the candles. Happy Birthday Baby. We love you!

First day of School!! :)

What a little Lady. Lizzie is starting 5th grade. She is growing up so fast.
Lauryn likes to rock the class. She is starting 3rd grade.

First day of school makes for a happy mom. It was a great summer vacation, but it is nice to get the routine of school back.

Fathers Day Rocket Launch

For Father's Day, the kids gave Dad a model rocket (to launch with the one Lauryn got for her Birthday). Torey had a good time putting the rocket together, and getting it ready for the big launch. We launched Lauryn and Dad's rocket about 7 or 8 times, and ended up with a rocket on the neighbor's roof only once. The kids had a great time chasing the rockets, and trying to catch them as they came down. Here's the highlights of the great Father's Day Rocket Launch.
